gliding-spot of SE Asia. A flat
grassy plain is just next to the
step hill near Taunggyi.

Europeans are often surprised
that Myanmar people are pretty
familiar with the golf game. There
even are many country with no
golf-courses. Yes there are about 20

There is a huge horse-racing ground
at Kyaikasan, Yangon. Here are
places where you can go ride horses:
Mountaineering
Mt. Kakaborazee is the highest
mountain in Southeast Asia. It's
19,296 feet high. The recent
achievers who got on top of this
mountain are from Myanmar and Japan.

Scuba-Diving
Red Sea is known to be the best
scuba-diving place on earth.
Kawthaung could soon become one
of the top scuba-diving places in
Asia, for its clear water and
coral-filled floor.
Sea-Shell Collecting
You can collect sea-shells as much
as you want. No fee is charged.
However if you want to obtain fine
quality sea-shells, visit souvenir
shops closed by.
Skating
There is only 2 skating ground in
Yangon. You can go have fun there.
Skate rentals are available. If you
are a serious skater, and want to
skate around town, you are
unfortunately advised not to.
Sidewalk (platforms) in Yangon are
not very good to skate around. So
leave your rollerblades at home.
Skiing
Myanmar could be the only spot with
snow-filled mountains in Southeast
Asia. It would become another fun
place for ski-lovers, if ski-ground
projects could develop. You can go
ski in the morning and after 30min
flight, you can go to beach in the
afternoon!
Stamp-Collecting
Readily collected bundles of Myanmar
stamps are available at Bogyoke
Market, and postcard stands. Ask
your hotel receptionist.
Surfing
Only very few surfing facilities are
provided at beaches in the area.
Bring your board if you can.
Life-guard service is usually
provided.
