Ngapali
Beach
Located on the Rakhine coast;
Ngapali Beach is an hour's flight
from Yangon. It is an unspoiled
beach stretching over 3 km with blue
sea, white sand and swaying palm
trees. There is an 18-hole golf
course about 5 km from Ngapali Beach
Hotel.
Maung-ma-gan Beach
The long shallow Maung-ma-gan Beach,
located on the Taninthayi coast in
the south, is totally unspoilt and
it is under development. It is
reached from Dawei, which is a
75-minute flight away from Yangon.
Let-khok-kone
Beach
Located 30 km from Yangon Let-khok-kone
is the nearest beach and a popular
weekend picnic site. It is reached
by a ferry boat ride to Dallah
followed by a 3 hours' drive.
Chaung-tha
Beach
Located 40 km to the west of Pathein
in Ayeyawaddy Division, Chaungtha
Beach is reached by a 5-hour drive
from Yangon via Pathein. Three Beach
Hotels cater to local and foreign
visitors.
Ngwe Saung
Beach
Ngwe Saung, situated on the western
sea board of the country, facing the
Bay of Bengal is the newest "cool"
spot not only for the young and
upwardly mobile executives but also
for the family. The whole beach is
approximately 9 miles long and
bordered by tall, green palms,
swaying gently in the breeze. This
is where the rain forest meets the
ocean. The road from Yangon connects
Ngwe Saung beach via Pathein, the
capital city of Ayeyarwaddy
Division. After a five hours drive
along the Yangon-Pathein-Chaungtha
Highway and you are transported to a
totally different environment, away
from the dust and grime, away from
the noise and commotion of the city
of the peaceful and tranquil Ngwe

Kanthaya
Beach
Kanthaya Beach, located on the
Rakhine coast is about 290 km from
Yangon and reached by an 8-hour
drive.
