Barani Cruise & Trading Group Ltd. provide the 30 rooms IRRAWADDY PRINCESS I and a 20 rooms IRRAWADDY PRINCESS II for your river cruise program between Mandalay, the last capital of Myanmar kingdom and Bagan the ancient capital of Myanmar in the 9th century. We also provide an expedition cruise to the northern reaches of the Irrawaddy. Board the Princess and discover the historic heart of Myanmar as you sail along the Irrawaddy. For centuries the mighty river has served as the focus of Myanmar life. You may either join our regular weekly cruise between Bagan and Mandalay or vice versa, or explore other interesting places on the Irrawaddy. Princess I or Princess II is also available for charter to any destination or join our expedition cruises from Mandalay / Bhamo / Mandalay.

This journey includes sight seeing stops at Pokokku and Yandabo and a night stop at Myaydaw or Nay pu gon village.Pokokku is a prosperous river town on the west bank with bustling markets and active Buddhist teaching monasteries and pagodas. Yandabo is a small village on the east bank, the whole village make earthen water pots.

The expedition cruise starts at Mandalay and will sail up the Irrawaddy as far as it is navigable, hopefully up to Bhamo. Bhamo is only 30 miles from the Chinese border and is a trading post for Chinese goods. We will make one or two stop every day at villages. This journey will also take you through the second and third defile on the Irrawaddy.

Charter Cruise

The Princess I or Princess II is also available for charter through out the year.

Weekly Cruise
Mandalay / Bagan or Bagan / Mandalay. 2 nights onboard with full board. US$ 180 net per pax on double occupancy. For single occupancy add US$ 80. For Superior and Suite add US$ 30 and US$ 60 respectively / pax. On land excursion are on passenger's account.

Expedition Cruise
11 nights onboard with full board. US$ 2100 / net per pax.. Above price is for double occupancy. Single supplement on all expedition cruises is US$ 600. For Superior and Suite add US$ 300 and US$ 600 respectively.
The price includes all schedule excursion on shore / 3 meals a day/ bottled drinking water / entrance fees / guide and local taxes. Price excludes drinks at bar, laundry and gratuity to crew.
